B2Run 2018 - Team Spirit and Employer Branding
Under the auspices of Dieter Reiter, mayor of Munich, on July 17, the 15th edition of the “B2Run” in Munich took place. More than 30,000 highly motivated employees from around 1,500 companies participated in Germany's largest company run with individual time measurement.
Since 2008, the event is sold out every year - again so in 2018. Due to the bad weather the start of a few runners was even cancelled this year.
BNP Paribas had its own team stand with more than 60 runners as well as numerous fans from various companies of the group such as Arval, Asset Management, Wealth Management, REIM, Factor, Leasing and CIB. BNP Paribas REIM Germany itself was represented by seven runners.
The running track of about six kilometers led past the Olympic lake and across the park to the finish line directly in the Olympic stadium.
The fastest male runner managed the “B2Run” in an outstanding time of 18:37 minutes, the fastest woman crossed the finish line after 20:16 minutes.
The colleagues of BNP Paribas REIM Germany also showed very good results and partly reached personal bests.
Although the weather conditions could have been better this year, the focus was on fun and team spirit again.
We are looking forward to the next B2Run in 2019!
Social Day 2018: With brushes, wheelbarrow and screwdriver…
On 30 June 2018, the annual social day took place in Munich. More than 40 employees of the BNP Paribas REIM group visited different “AWO”- institutions to support them.
The social day is an excellent opportunity to do good and get in touch with the other corporate sections of BNP Paribas. Employees of Arval, Consors Finanz, Consorsbank, DAB, BNP Paribas Real Estate, BNP Paribas REIM and BNP Paribas Wealth Management lent a helping hand and contributed to the embellishment of different institutions.
In every institution were at least two entities of BNP Paribas present.
The largest group of workers went to the “Lindennest” nursery in Aying-Großhelferdorf outside the gates of Munich, where they had to do several tasks. On this day, the helpers were able to create a new barefoot path, repaint soapboxes, build an aviary and complete other small tasks. (Arval, Consors Finanz)
At the “Schlosskinder” nursery in Oberschleißheim a storage room had to be reorganized. Therefore, the main task was to build a shelf and cupboard system. (Consorsbank/DAB, BNP Paribas REIM)
At the children’s house “Villa Bambini” in Haar was also a lot to do. Gardening, filling the sandbox and disposing of bulky waste. (Consorsbank/DAB, BNP Paribas REIM)
At a refugee home in Neuried the kitchen was refurbished in close cooperation with the residents. (Consorsbank/DAB, BNP Paribas Real Estate, BNP Paribas Weath Management)
All volunteers were given a warm welcome by the institutions.
One of the helpers said, “It was a great day. I am particularly pleased that we could actually help and saw a lot of smiles at the end of the day.”
A very great day for the kids...
The topic corporate social responsibility (CSR) is becoming increasingly important for the company BNP Paribas REIM Germany and all its empolyees. In order to do justice to this responsibility, BNP Paribas REIM Germany in future will participate more in various projects.
After the successful participation at the "Bundesweiter Vorlesetag" last year, many employees of BNP Paribas REIM Germany attended also this year on the 17th of November 2017 at this possibility to read again exciting stories to little children with bright eyes. Some of these employees were repeat offenders and looked forward to the prying eyes and open ears of the little listeners.
The reading was again something special for the children as well as for all employees of BNP Paribas REIM Germany!
